I'm still here

Well, I'm still alive, but not much more than that. I'm still working alot of overtime and have no time to do the things I like to do. I haven't started my Harley for over two years now and I didn't get to swim once this year.  The only good thng that is going on in my life is that Mary is doing well in her third year at Eureka College. She has some trouble with Quantitative Analysis some of the time, but is still carrying an A in that class. She was elected Class President for her junior year and two weekends ago, she was elected to the homecoming court at school.

Wifey lost her job four months ago and has been a stranger ever since. She ges to "bingo" alot now, even when there isn't any.  She has been gone four nights this week and I noticed that she had showered afresh and was wearing perfume and makeup. She never did this before, she would just go to bingo as she was.. Oh well, if this is what she wants, I am too tired and broken to do anything about it.

Well, I am not going to turn this into a crying session, so I will close for now. Suffice it to say that I am still alive and I hope to get my life untracked soon. I have missed my friends here at Xanga and I hope to get the time to visit more often. I just want to say thanks to those who care and have cared for the long haul. May GOD bless and keep you and yours. I love you all.

- We May Never Pass This Way Again

Okay.....We are going to Eureka College in Eureka, Illinois.....Yep, that's right, Mary has decided to go the route of the small, personal school in order to get more individual attention.....All her classes will be taught by professors instead of some being taught by graduate assistants....Now the bad part....Eureka is six hours away from here and I don't know if I will be able to stand her being so far away....But, I will never tell her that...We let her make her own decision as to what college or university she would attend and she did a very good job of comparing and weighing all the pros and cons of each school....I will just have to buck up and giive her all the support she needs to go through with her education AND her growing up.....Jeez, I am so proud of her.....She has grown into quite the young lady and now she even has a job.....She is a waitress in a local family restaurant....I must admit to a pang of pain and proudness when we go to the restaurant and see her waiting on people with that fantastic smile and quick wit to make her customers instantly at ease.....(Sigh) I long for more time to spend with her now that she is going out on her own and endeavouring to see the more of the world that she lives in.....I just pray the she finds all the happiness she desreves and get all that she works for......She is my little girl always, no matter how old she gets.....Well, I must go now and get some sleep....Overtime abounds.....May the good Lord bless and keep you and yours....M

Well, it has been awhile, I know.....Mary is getting ready for college.....That is her senior picture before this entry....She has been accepted by all she applied to, including The Ohio State University, Xavier University, Eureka College, Purdue University, Bellermine University, Wilmington College, Washington University, and The UniversityOf Cincinnati.....As of right now, she is leaning toward Ohio State and Eureka.....Eureka College is in Illinois and is the college that Ronald Reagan graduated from.....I am still a working lot of overtime....Well, it is time for me to go...I will try to write more later...

Still working the twelve hours mon - thur and 10 on Friday and eight on Saturday and Sunday. When I am not working I am mowng the grass or fixing one of the vehicles. Just last night, I fell asleep under my truck and woke up in time to take my shower for work. The hours are starting to tell on me and I can[t get to things I love. like visiting your sites and catching up on your lives.   I just bought that brand new HP three months ago and I only got to set it up. I have never gotten to use it. Junior and Mary are getting their money's worth out of it though. WEll, if I make it through all this overtime and get a few private moments at home. I WILL visit and leave my comments. I miss you all so very much and I hope to get back here soon. May GOD bless you all.......M

Real quick.....I come home late and dirty and smelly, but I absolutely love my job so far....It is mostly simple machine maintanence for right now....The people that work in my department are just like my old bunch of friends at my old job with Cincinnati Machine....A jovial bunch , but very friendly and helpful and not too much on the under-handed side....They work hard but there is also some time for a little bit of fun on the job and that was certainly lacking at my last job.....I must stress, however, that the company I just left AND the people were good to me.....I just didn't care for the third shift and the monotony of running the same parts night after night after night....Bottom line is that I just really enjoy working on machines, NOT running them and that is what I do now.....So, I am embarking on what , I hope, is a long and happy career with Meyer Tool Inc......Home is okay, although Wifey doesn't like the long hours I am putting in....She doesn't understand , as yet, that I am working the job so she can quit....I was told today that we may be going to four twelve hour day, Monday thru Thursday, 5 to 5:30 and ten hours on Friday and Saturday with eight on Sunday thrown in for good measure.....All this is to be mandatory.....If this is true, then I should be making enough very soon, so she can quit.....Then I think she will change her tune about this job....Thanks for all your words of encouragement....Emails will follow soon.....May GOD bless you all......M
